Fall 2007
The Entrada Ranch Educational Center designed for southern Utah.
The complex has rooms for inhabiting while studying on the ranch for students. For this project I focused on the site and listening to what it had to say. The form took on the contour shape with the rooms breaking off of that. A large thermal mass curved wall with operable top lights for ventilation shields the south side. The entrance nook and south windows are covered in a wire mesh with sticks from the site woven into it to help with the solar gain.
